The municipality of the Crowsnest Pass is located in the Rocky Mountains north of Waterton National Park and approximately 100km south of Kananaskis Provincial Park. This area makes up a major portion of the headwaters of the South Saskatchewan River watershed which ultimately empties into Hudson Bay. As such the rivers and streams we will be guiding you on your fishing adventure are mostly bright wild waters, full of bright wild fish. The lower Oldman and Waterton Rivers are tailwater fisheries. Depending on your mood we can take you out after eager cutthroats, voracious large bull trout, and exciting rainbows. In our guiding area there is also the potential to hook into fussy browns, colourful brookies, and even the predatory northern pike! Rocky mountain whitefish have healthy populations in all of our streams and can provide some very good nymph action.
In addition to the main streams mentioned we can take you out to some of the very good lesser known tributaries to the bigger rivers. If remote small streams full of beautifully coloured wild fish that rise eagerly to the dry are your passion you will fall in love with our little secrets.
