Living in the Crowsnest Pass all of his 52 years Gary Taje began his lifelong passion with fly fishing at the age of 17. Gary cut his fly fishing teeth in the Crow west of Coleman swinging wet flies to eager rainbows. Gary soon developed a love affair with the Lower Crow and the exciting rainbows and predatory browns that loved to attack large streamers or quietly suck in nymphs fished on the bottom. While Gary preferred fishing subsurface the area's cutts quickly taught him to appreciate the value and excitement of dry fly fishing.
Gary started guiding a couple of years ago and discovered the joy in helping people of all ages learn the techniques needed to catch the beautiful trout of the Crowsnest Pass and area.
